Jacob Valencia.

I’m a graphic designer who believes every project deserves a moment that invites the audience to take part. Whether it’s an interactive detail, a clever visual element, or a small surprise built into the layout, I love creating work that feels engaging, intentional, and memorable. I see design not just as communication, but as an experience.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Concordia University, St. Paul and my Associate’s degree from North Hennepin Community College, where I developed a strong foundation in branding, layout, and storytelling through design. While in school, I balanced freelance work with coursework, learning how to manage deadlines, communicate with clients, and push ideas further with thoughtful and intentional execution.

I’m also inspired by the visual world of live music and rave culture. Being immersed in those environments exposes me to bold storytelling, movement, lighting, and atmosphere—elements that influence the energy and visual rhythm in my work.

Outside of design, I explore creativity through ceramics and photography. Ceramics teaches me about form, balance, and texture, while photography shapes how I think about light, composition, and honest moments. Both mediums influence my design style and help me bring more depth to the visual experiences I create.
